Personality & Effective Communication
This one-day interactive workshop is designed to build effective communication skills through insight into personality type.
Using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), participants will learn how personality influences their communication style and the perspectives of others. The course also includes helpful information about communication methods and techniques for successful communication.
Objectives:
- Know and understand their personality type and how it relates to their communication style
- Identify the strengths and weaknesses of their current communication practices
- Develop new or improved communication skills with co-workers within the department and in other departments

UOPD accepts three (3) forms of payment:
- Departmental ISR (see on-line instructions for completing an ISR through HokieMart)
- Foundation Check
- Personal Check
Checks should be made payable to the Treasurer, Virginia Tech and mailed to UOPD, 148 Southgate Center (0538)
UOPD Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made through UOPD by calling 231-6727 or emailing uopd@vt.edu at least 3 business days prior to the date of the workshop. ALL no-shows and cancellations received less than 3 business days prior to the date of the workshop will be charged the full cost of registration.
