Overview: 

This hands on, high energy workshop offers skills, tools, and practical applications for working effectively with internal and external customers.


Objectives:

  • Recognize individual listening tendencies and improve understanding of what people really want
  • Use words to express empathy and sincerity
  • Hold an effective dialogue that discusses customer needs
  • Use successful problem-solving strategies to determine the real issues and find creative solutions

This workshop is a core requirement for the Customer Service Excellence Certificate.



How to Pay

UOPD accepts three (3) forms of payment:

- Departmental ISR (see on-line instructions for completing an ISR through HokieMart)
- Foundation Check
- Personal Check

Checks should be made payable to the Treasurer, Virginia Tech and mailed to UOPD, 148 Southgate Center (0538)

UOPD Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations must be made through UOPD by calling 231-6727 or emailing uopd@vt.edu at least 3 business days prior to the date of the workshop. ALL no-shows and cancellations received less than 3 business days prior to the date of the workshop will be charged the full cost of registration.
