In this article, they guide readers through the primary features of their theory, summarizing important findings and implications along the way. Though scholarly in focus, this article serves as a good starting point for learning about Self-Determination theory and is intended for all audiences, regardless of their prior exposure to the theory.

This is a scholarly article focused on examining how Self-Determination Theory can be fruitfully applied to the work environment to better understand how motivation works in organizations. A very good article for those wishing to dig deeper into understanding the implications of Self-Determination Theory for the work-place.
