Course Description:  A vital component of effective leadership in an increasingly diverse world is the ability to create a truly inclusive workplace where all employees are treated with respect, welcomed and able to do their best work.  In this workshop, we will explore the barriers to effective teamwork and respectful communication, and examine the broad range of differences that can strengthen a workforce rather than weaken it.

Course Objectives:  During the program, participants will:

  • Explore and develop a broader and deeper understanding of the nature and impact of difference
  • Gain insight into subtle biases and assumptions in language and behaviors
  • Reflect on their ability to communicate effectively across difference
  • Build their capacity for perspective-taking for team work
